Coliseum 1921 cafe @ The Garden, Mid Valley Mall

Yesterday afternoon I suddenly feel like wanna have some western food.

Then my mind popped out with this COLISEUM 1921 cafe in the LG floor of Garden Mall, Mid valley Mall.

It is just besides of the TONY ROMA"S RESTAURANT.

I passed by COLISEUM 1921 in JAYA 33 and since they have opened another branch in Mid Valley, it is easier for me to access to MV since I do not have a car to drive there.

Hereby is my comments on the branch:

Environment and the Design of the Cafe


 Firstly, the Mid Valley branches is smaller than other branches after I glanced through others' blog. Then, I feel quite disappointed at first when see the TONY ROMA'S restaurant has a much better of environmentcompared to their quite simple decoration. They just have those wooden tables and chair       with the white cover on the table as decoration. All walls in the cafe is just white. Comparatively, the TR has a great sofa's for each table and each table is separated by wooden wall. Besides the light inside TR is much dimmer which makes the environment is more romantic and everyone will definitely fall in love to have dinner date over there.

Menu 


As I know, their choices and variety of food is much lesser compared to the branches in JAYA 33 if I am not mistaken. So roughly u just can choose main dishes from sizzling, those non-sizzling, some malaysian style food, some appetizer and so on. I prefer more variety to let me choose.

Food


In the end I have order SIZZLING-SPRING CHICKEN WITH HAM which cost me rm33.90++. It comes along with the appetizers (vegetables salad with thousand island sauce) first. the salad is quite nice for me because their thousand island sauce are quite tasty. then I have the side dishes come along like the potato wedges and the brocolli with mushroom sauce.I am quite disappointed with the side dishes. It is because they serve under cold. The brocolli with mushroom sauce is not even warm. I suggest they can try to warm up the side dishes before serving to the customer.
Then is the main dish- Sizzling spring chicken with ham!
Oh my god,it is the whole real complete spring chicken and it suprised me alot! I would say I like that pretty much! even though it is just a slice of ham, but it is tasty and it is not thin. I prefer more ham!!!!! I am craving for it! but for me, I have chosen the black pepper sauce for my sizzling. Yes they use a high quality of black pepper and it is hot and spicy and I prefer that. But somehow when I try the chicken without the sauce, i feel like they should marinate the chicken for longer time. I particularly feel like the aroma and the taste of the marination is not going deep inside of the chicken. Otherwise I can say that the taste of this sizzling is just the taste of black pepper. But nonetheless, the spring chicken is tender enough and I like the tenderness of the Spring chicken.

Service


Omo. I really feel like their service need to improve tremendously. First, the place for the waiter to mix the sizzling with the sauce is quite filthy. They just put the dustbin and the sweeping floor thingy besides the table. Besides, they should change a better ventilation system/machine to suck out all the gas coming out from the sizzling. Everytime the waiter mix the sizzling the whole restaurant will full of the smell. And their waiters and waitresses are not cared about for the customers especially they did not really focus on those customers who are waiting outside.

Overall


As a big piece, I think that most probably I would not come again unless they improve their weaknesses.
Next time I would like to try out other western restaurant then I will share it over here!
